Studio Headshots: Typically range from $120 – $1200 depending on the provider and session length. Sessions that last 15 to 30 minutes usually cost $120 – $300, while longer sessions are +$500.

Here are the top providers of studio sessions: HeadShots Inc, Grace Image Photography, and SRK Headshot Day.

Outdoor Headshots: Typically range from $200 to $900, but can cost as much as $2,000. Photographers typically charge more for these sessions because they need to cover the cost of travel and coordinating outdoor sessions, which are subject to change due to weather.

Here are the top providers of outdoor sessions: Snappr, Portraits To The People, and HeadShots Inc.

Group Headshots: Typically range from $500 – $1500 per hour. However, the actual cost per person may vary widely depending on how many sessions a photographer can offer per hour. For reference, HeadShots Inc recommends 6 people per hour, but can go as fast as 12 people per hour.

Here are the top providers of group sessions: Gustav Fernandez, HeadShots Inc, and Two Dudes Photo.

Beware of hidden costs. For some providers, sessions do not come with any retouched photos included, and may be up to $150 extra each. There may also be specific “licensing” fees depending on how you’d like to use your headshot.
